About The NFBA

The National Fitness Business Alliance (NFBA) started out as a seminar only company in 1990. The mission in those early days was to get new ideas and information to the independent club owner who often worked without a lot of guidance or business support. Being an independent in those early days meant that you had to virtually educate yourself through trial and error or copying the business practices of other clubs in the industry.

In 2005, fifteen of the most well respected companies in the industry formed the modern day version of NFBA. These companies believe that the education, not only for the club owner and manager but for the working fitness professional, should be inexpensive and readily available close to home.

The scope was also expanded beyond the independent club owner to others working in the fitness industry including: staff members from chain facilities, medical specialists such as physical therapists, and even golf teaching pros. All are in the industry and all are looking for a source of education to improve their careers.

The NFBA has since grow and taken on an even broader mission. Today, the company offers total business support and personal development for any professional working in the fitness industry. Ranging from special services and products for fitness industry owners, to educational growth tools for someone working in the industry the NFBA is the ultimate source of information. Owners, managers, team members in the club including sales staff, trainers and group instructors, and even industry suppliers, all look to the NFBA as a place to gain the edge they need in their respective careers.

The goal of the NFBA is to change the industry for the better through the professional development of any individual who works in the fitness industry for a living.
